Extra Curricular

At Girnhill Infant School each half term we will have an exciting range of extra-curricular activities which can contribute to children’s development, enjoyment and understanding and which can also feed their imaginations. We hope that children will form a foundation for interests that can be continued outside school or built on in their following years.

We provide our children with a range of After School Clubs, providing opportunities that they may not encounter in every day life. These clubs include: Makaton choir, Multi-Sports Club and many more.

We also engage in a variety of events within our local community. Children have the opportunity to take part in events such as ‘Fev Fest’ and Featherstone Community Sporting Events. More details will be provided on these events in due course.

Makaton Choir – Our unique and enthusiastic approach is designed to help develop children’s communication through music.

Multi-Sports Club – a great way to keep children active and engaged through trialling a variety of fun sports and themed games.

Wilderness Club – Each week is different and offers a great variety of exciting outdoor adventures.

Art Club – encourages self-expression and allows children to explore their creativity in various ways.

Stay and Play Club – sessions are jam-packed with amazing activities to get children moving after a long school day.

Craft Club – offering a collection of crafts and making activities.
